Original Provenance: Chautauqua County, New York
Elegant light blue with dark blue-centered flowers rise well above heart shaped leaves on long stems, a distinguishing feature compared to other eastern rhizomatous blue violets. Plants prefer wetland environments but can tolerate lower moisture with additional watering. Similar looking to Common Blue Violets but less aggressive though it will spread through both rhizomes and seed.
