Description
Common Milkweed (Asclepias syriaca) Seed Packet
Locally Sourced from 8.1 Ecoregion
Original Provenance: Chautauqua County, New York
A pollinator favorite, with prolific and long blooming lavender-pink delicately fragrant flowers. Reseeds readily but mainly spreads by underground rhizomes, which may make this variety less ideal for small gardens. Monarch butterflies lay their eggs exclusively on Milkweed plants, making them the sole food source for their larvae.
