Showy late summer white blooms attract butterflies, native bees, pollinating flies, wasps and beetles. Boneset can be cut back early in spring to promote bushier growth (Chelsea Chop). A great plant for rain gardens and to help control erosion especially along stream and river banks. Will form colonies by spreading rhizomes. Host for the Spring Azure butterfly, the Boneset Borer, and Three-lined flower moth.
